Questions, answered.
The campaign, the files and your library, in plain words. If yours isn’t here, write to support@grimdarkgospel.com and a person answers.
Before the gates open.
Are these digital files or physical miniatures?
Both, your choice. Every model comes as STL files to print at home, and the campaign also offers physical copies printed in resin and shipped to you.
What's in each STL pack?
A pre-supported STL laid out for resin printers and a clean unsupported STL if you'd rather support it yourself. Every model is 32 mm heroic scale.
What game are they for?
They're sculpted for trench-warfare skirmish in a grim, alternate Great War: faithful and damned fighting over the mud. At 32 mm they also proxy well in other WW1-flavoured wargames and in TTRPGs.
Do you use AI?
Yes, and we'd rather say so. Generative AI is part of how we work: it helps us explore concepts, rough out the first 3D forms, and make the painted images and videos you see on this page, which are digital renders, not photos of painted miniatures. Every model is then reworked by our sculptors, scaled and based for the table, and supported for printing with our own support engine before it ships.
How do the two free models work?
Leave your email and we send you a link. Create an account with that email and both models land in your library as STL files, yours to keep and re-download whenever you like. No card, no commitment.
When does the Kickstarter launch?
In November. The countdown on this page shows the exact moment. Follow the pre-launch page on Kickstarter and it will tell you the second it goes live.
What is the early bird?
The campaign's best price, only for the first 24 hours. It's the reason to follow the pre-launch page: whoever is there when the gates open gets it.
Do I need a resin printer?
The supports are tuned for resin printers, which is what holds the detail at this scale. No printer at all? Pledge for the physical copies instead.
Will they be available after the campaign?
Yes. Once backers have their pledges, the models go on sale one by one in our store. The campaign is where they're cheapest.
Bought once, kept.
Is there a subscription?
No. Every model is bought once and kept forever. No monthly fee, no membership, nothing that renews.
What's the Kickstarter bundle?
Backers of the Grimdark Gospel Kickstarter collect their pledge here: create an account with the email you pledged with and the models land in your library. After the campaign, the same models are sold one by one in the store.
What's the license?
Personal use only. No commercial use, resale, or redistribution. Print what you'd like for yourself or for friends. Don't sell the files, don't sell the prints, don't upload the meshes anywhere.
Your files, always.
When do I get my models?
Kickstarter and Late Pledge models are delivered when the release publishes (date to be confirmed), at the same time as the original backers. We'll email you the moment they land in your library, so there's nothing to chase until then.
Where do I download my files?
Everything you own lives in your library under Account → Purchases. Open a model and download its files.
Can I re-download later?
Yes, always. Your library is re-downloadable any time, as often as you need, on any device. There's no download limit and no expiry.
I ordered as a guest, how do I get my files?
Guest orders are tied to the email you used at checkout. Verify that email (or create an account with it) and the order attaches to your library automatically, ready to download. If the claim link didn't arrive, ask us and we'll resend it.
What do the Late Pledge tiers include?
The Late Pledge opens when the Kickstarter ends, with the same tiers as the campaign: 32 mm STL files, pre-supported and raw, re-downloadable forever. See the Late Pledge page for the current line-up.
The fine print.
Is VAT included?
Yes. Prices are final and include VAT where it applies. The price you see is the price you pay.
What's your refund policy?
Because the files are digital and can't be returned, refunds are handled case by case. If something's genuinely wrong (a broken file, a double charge, a clear mistake), write to us and we'll make it right.
What formats and scales do I get?
Print-ready STL files at 32 mm heroic scale. Every model comes both pre-supported and raw (unsupported): print straight away or add your own supports.
